Suspicious Housekeeper Episode 16 Recap

The episode begins in the grocery store, with Bok Nyeo declaring that she doesn’t want to lose Ji Hoon. A tear runs down her cheek. His voice, thick with emotion, tells her to hold on to him. If she doesn't want to lose him – he holds out his hand – she should hold that hand. Bok Nyeo takes it. And my skin crawls. Ji Hoon looks almost overwhelmed. Doo Gyul, Se Gyul and Han Gyul are at the store and see them holding hands. They are horrified. Ji Hoon declares that he will not let go of her hand until she lets it go. Suddenly, Hye Gyul smacks their hands apart and declares that Bok Nyeo’s hand is hers! They both look at Hye Gyul as she holds Bok Nyeo’s hand. Ji Hoon asks Bok Nyeo if he’s going to have to compete against the little kid.

Ji Hoon and Bok Nyeo are walking, with Ji Hoon carrying 2 bags of groceries. He asks if he should throw the bags away, because they’re stopping him from being able to hold her hand. That would be sweet if he wasn’t a stalker. He mutters that their beginning was spectacular, but full of spectators. He looks behind him and the trio are following them. They duck out of sight, but not before they’re seen. Ji Hoon remarks how they seem like children guarding their mom, who is having an affair.

Bok Nyeo tells Ji Hoon that he can leave now. Ji Hoon doesn’t want to because they've finally became a real couple. He wants to do everything that others do. Taking her home... picking her up... talking on the phone until the cell phone is on fire. Who does that? Teenagers? That almost makes sense since he's stuck in teenage infatuation = real love. A car drives up with Sang Chul inside. He stops and asks them how they ended up there together. Ji Hoon declares that Bok Nyeo’s become his stalker. Sang Chul doesn’t know how to respond to that. He tells Bok Nyeo to get in the car and he’ll take her home. Ji Hoon interrupts him to say that he and Bok Nyeo have more to talk about. Then he suggests Sang Chul take his kids a ride home instead. Busted.

Sang Chul drives off with the kids, with Hye Gyul looking sadly out the rear windshield at Bok Nyeo. Ji Hoon asks Bok Nyeo if she knows why he was harsh with her. She replies it was because he was bored. He asks her if she really believes that. She asks him, “why, then?” He declares it’s because he likes her. And he is in grade school. He declares that he really likes her. But, if he could easily hold onto her hand, then it would be just as easy to let go. Wow, that actually makes sense in a twisted sort of way. In English, he says, “Easy come, easy go.” He declares that it wasn’t like playing "push and pull" (hard to get) or something like power control. Even though that’s what he told Sang Chul. His reality changes by the minute. He tells her not to be upset. He did it because he kept asking himself, “Can I really make this woman happy?” You should have asked yourself that before you killed her husband and son, who *were* making her happy.

Bok Nyeo is doing dishes. Sang Chul approaches and asks her if she really made up with Ji Hoon. She has. Sang Chul says that he suspects that she’s clinging to CEO Jang because she thinks of him as Ji Hoon. She turns around and tells him that she is not the only one clinging. So, she’s not denying that he’s Ji Hoon. She says that Jang Do Hyung has opened his heart, so can Sang Chul just leave it alone. He’s a little shocked she said that. The kids don’t know how to take the conversation. Bok Nyeo goes back to the dishes.

Ji Hoon is in his office with That Woman. He declares that the last crisis turned into an opportunity and he’s utilized it very well. That Woman asks what he means. He says that in Chinatown, when he abandoned Bok Nyeo, he had no means of explaining why to her, so he pretended to be irritated. When he did that, Bok Nyeo completely eEnded her suspicions toward him. He stare talks as he says that Bok Nyeo seemed like the old Park Eun Soo. Those...pleading eyes. And he’s all wrapped up in his stalker psychosis. Yes! It’s wonderful that how she looks like her old self to you is when she’s begging you for something. That’s healthy.

That Woman declares that that’s a relief. Ji Hoon tells her that as long as she keeps her mouth shut, everyone will be happy. Right? And you’re digging your own grave, because you’re telling her to not tell you what she knows: that Bok Nyeo knows that you’re Seo Ji Hoon. He tells her that as long as she keeps it up, there will be 'carrots' instead of threats. Carrots? She asks him if he’s really dying. He asks her if she was deceived by that, too. So is that a ‘no’? That Woman wonders if the fact that he’s ill, might possibly be critical evidence that he’s Seo Ji Hoon. Isn't that *really* why he doesn’t want to show that he’s ill? Ji Hoon looks at her and leans forward to get in her face. He supposes that the threat of a dead parrot wasn't a strong enough deterrent for her, since she keeps yapping so much in front of him. He warns her not to try to find out more because she’s already in enough danger. And he’s downright menacing when he says that last part. Any sympathy that might have been brewing for him just flew right out the window… A secretary comes in and announces that Kim Hee Sun, from Hope Charity Organization, has arrived, and That Woman is dismissed. Wondering what he's doing with Kim Hee Sun from Hope Charity Organization, but that question goes unanswered.

That Woman calls Bok Nyeo and asks to meet. Bok Nyeo worries but That Woman says that Ji Hoon has an appointment so he won't notice. In That Woman’s car, she asks what Bok Nyeo is planning to do after getting close to Ji Hoon, killing him? Bok Nyeo answers that she’s holding it in. The urge to kill him right now. She’s holding it in with all her strength. Whenever he stands in front of her or behind her back… she has the desire to stop him from breathing with one swift jab... Wow, she does a great job of playing the part. I thought she might be weakening a bit towards him. I’m glad she’s not being swayed. And that's a lot of anger. Bok Nyeo declares that she kills him, nothing will be revealed and Seo Ji Hoon will remain innocent forever. Bok Nyeo declares that the crimes that Ji Hoon has committed and his accomplices, she will reveal them all and punish them. She’s looking for a way to do this. Song Hwa sighs and declares that they both seem so unstable. She’s really scared.

Bok Nyeo asks That Woman if she saw something when Ji Hoon disappeared in Chinatown. This is your chance to tell her. Come on, do it! That Woman doesn’t take the opportunity. Bok Nyeo declares that she won’t press That Woman any more, because she’s worried for Song Hwa’s safety. So Bok Nyeo knows Song Hwa is lying.

Han Gyul asks Bok Nyeo to look at a song she wrote. And, apparently because Bok Nyeo can also read music… Bok Nyeo declares that it’s beautiful. Bok Nyeo asks if Han Gyul plans on singing it with Soo Hyuk. Han Gyul admits that Soo Hyuk is having problems with the Scumdad. And I think it’s coming down now! Yes!

Scumdad is stuffing his face at the BAR. Soo Hyuk arrives and Scumbad tells Soo Hyuk that he can deposit it. Soo Hyuk sighs and forks over his cash. And I bet this guy isn’t even *paying* those loan sharks, just living off Soo Hyuk. He is such a slimeball. My skin is crawling! Scumdad looks at the money and, mouth full, tells Soo Hyuk that he’s worked hard. Soo Hyuk is dismissed. Soo Hyuk complies.

Scumdad is stuffing the money in his pocket, laughing. Suddenly, a familiar puffy-coated arm reaches down, grabs his food and throws it in Scumdad’s face. I am cackling! Soo Hyuk turns around, shocked. Bok Nyeo grabs Scumdad by the collar and drags him up out of his seat. Scumdad protests, asking Soo Hyuk if she’s his lover. Soo Hyuk’s so shocked, he can’t say anything. Bok Nyeo asks Scumdad if his child is an ATM machine? Scumdad can’t believe her question. Bok Nyeo tells him that if he extorts money from Soo Hyuk again, he’ll become the Jjampong (spicy seafood noodle) soup! She shoves Scumdad loose. Scumdad isn’t going to take that. He grabs Bok Nyeo from behind. She easily throws him to the ground, where he lays there moaning.

Soo Hyuk runs outside where Bok Nyeo is waiting. He tells her that it’s no use even if she does this. Scumdad will chase him to the ends of the earth. It’s why he gave up. Soo Hyuk looks a little emotional at the depressing thought of it. Bok Nyeo asks him if he gave up on Han Gyul too. Not meeting Bok Nyeo’s eyes, Soo Hyuk declares that even though Han Gyul likes him, she'll just get hurt. Bok Nyeo says that she’ll relay that, that he’s not worthy of receiving Han Gyul's clumsy first love. Because he’s too much of a coward. Hearing the words ‘first love’ gets a reaction out of Soo Hyuk. He asks if Han Gyul really called it that. Bok Nyeo hands him the song Han Gyul wrote:

It’s really pretty.

Bok Nyeo is dropping Hye Gyul off at school. Hye Gyul asks her if she likes that Ajusshi (Ji Hoon) more than Hye Gyul. Bok Nyeo doesn’t answer. Because she can’t, even though she looks like she wants to burst, holding back answering it. Miserably, Hye Gyul asks if Bok Nyeo’s going to get married. Bok Nyeo replies she will if that person says so. Hye Gyul wonders if she asks the Ajusshi not to. Bok Nyeo says she still will. Hye Gyul sighs sadly and walks off to school. Bok Nyeo’s eyes are watering as she leaves the school.

Hye Gyul almost goes in but instead she runs over to Ji Hoon’s house. She begs him to open the door. Inside, fists clenched, she says they should make a deal. Ji Hoon squats down in front of her and asks her if she even knows what that means. Hye Gyul rattles off what Bok Nyeo told her it meant: "It means speaking my thoughts and that person moves according to how I want." He nods that he understands. Hye Gyul declares that she will tell him her thoughts. Hye Gyul declares to the Ajusshi that she’s having a hard time. She can't do without Bok Nyeo-nim. That’s why he needs to please make Bok Nyeo-nim their mom. Ji Hoon isn’t smiling anymore. And I’m a little scared at what he might do to Hye Gyul. Hye Gyul and Ji Hoon have a staring contest. Hye Gyul doesn’t waiver. Eventually, Ji Hoon smiles, without it reaching his eyes, and gives a different suggestion… Which we don’t hear.

Ji Hoon calls Bok Nyeo at work but she doesn’t pick up.

Hye Gyul’s kindergarten calls Sang Chul at work because she’s missing. He starts to freak out. He calls Bok Nyeo, who is surprised, because she dropped Hye Gyul off at school. She checks her phone. The message is from Ji Hoon, saying that he thinks she should come here right this instant. Now that’s helpful. And not at all manipulative or oblique. Bok Nyeo calls him. He and Hye Gyul are at the toy store, where she’s picked out a Mimi doll that’s almost as big as she is. Hye Gyul is smiling. So easily bought! He tells Bok Nyeo that the little miss came to make a deal with him. And I’m getting flashbacks to how Bok Nyeo’s son thought of Ji Hoon as an uncle…

Bok Nyeo runs from the house to the toy store. Hye Gyul smiles up at Ji Hoon, calls him ‘Uncle’ and thanks him. Arg! I wonder whose idea that nickname was? Ji Hoon smiles and reminds Hye Gyul that she promised that she would give up Bok Nyeo-nim to him. So easily bought! Hye Gyul has her father, sister and brothers, but Bok Nyeo is everything to him. He tells her that he always has bad dreams at night. Bok Nyeo is gone and he changes into a monster. At least he’s kind of real with who he really is. Ji Hoon tells Hye Gyul that if she doesn't keep her promise, he doesn't know what could happen. And he’s downright scary right now, even though he’s smiling.

Bok Nyeo arrives, her eyes wide with worry. She asks a smiling Ji Hoon what happened. Hye Gyul gushes that Uncle bought her so much! Bok Nyeo’s son is now standing in Hye Gyul’s place, declaring, “Mom, Uncle bought me so many toys!” Ji Hoon says that the little miss has unexpectedly big hands. Hye Gyul smiles. Bok Nyeo's face is terrified.

As they drive away from the toy store, with Bok Nyeo in the back, holding a sleeping Hye Gyul, she tells Ji Hoon that she was so worried. She asks him to please refrain from letting things like this happen. Ji Hoon replies that he didn't call Hye Gyul, Hye Gyul sought him out. How earnestly she told him to give up on Bok Nyeo. Then he switches the conversation, asking how long he has to wait? Wait for what? You just started dating. And you’ve been on a total of TWO dates, one of which you baled on her during. He proposes that they live together. And my skin is crawling. He tells her they should get married. Now, that’s a romantic proposal.

Now out of the car, with Bok Nyeo carrying Hye Gyul’s toys, Hye Gyul says she’ll go in the house. Bok Nyeo grabs her, Bok Nyeo’s face scared with eyes wide. Bok Nyeo asks Hye Gyul to promise her that she will never, ever go to that house alone again. Hye Gyul asks if Bok Nyeo is mad at her. Bok Nyeo repeats her request/demand as Sang Chul arrives. Hye Gyul will never... never, never... never go there. Hye Gyul’s about to cry as she asks Bok Nyeo why Bok Nyeo’s being like this? She’s starting to like Uncle. Bok Nyeo’s eyes are glossy as she repeats her request that Hye Gyul not go alone.

Sang Chul drives back to work. He thinks about that conversation with Song Hwa. “Bok Nyeo… knows…” He takes Song Hwa to a coffee shop and asks if CEO Jang is Ji Hoon. Sang Chul mentions the scene he just witnessed, where Bok Nyeo was scolding Hye Gyul, telling her never to meet with CEO Jang. Does it make sense that she would warn Hye Gyul against someone Bok Nyeo likes? Not looking at him, Song Hwa declares that she doesn't know anything about it, why Bok Nyeo was doing that. Sang Chul sighs and asks her to stop trying to make him into an idiot. Heh. Sang Chul declares that if CEO Jang is Seo Ji Hoon, he needs to be punished by the law. And how do you propose to do that and with what evidence? This isn’t something that Ms. Bok Nyeo can deal with on her own. Song Hwa tells him not to cause unnecessary problems. Sang Chul sighs again.

Dinner time. Hye Gyul is playing with the doll Ji Hoon got her. Bok Nyeo looks like she is restraining herself from ripping the doll from Hye Gyul’s hands and throwing it in the trash. And Mimi is a *blonde* doll. Really? Han Gyul asks where Hye Gyul got the doll. Hye Gyul declares that Uncle bought it. Then she tells Bok Nyeo that she wants to see Uncle, so can they go together to see him? This is too much for Sang Chul. Because even though it hasn’t been confirmed, he knows that CEO Jang is Ji Hoon, too, and Ji Hoon is a psycho who has killed a child before, painfully, in a fire.

Sang Chul starts to say something when Bok Nyeo tells Hye Gyul to please please put away that doll. She shouldn't be playing with a doll while eating. Hye Gyul whines that she deson't want to, since doll is hungry, too! Bok Nyeo picks up Hye Gyul’s food – conveniently all on a tray – and declares that if Hye Gyul doesn’t put her away immediately, she will not be eating. Se Gyul tries to lessen Bok Nyeo’s wrath, but she asks him about his homework, why he isn’t working hard to figure out his incorrect answers? She tells him that he’s not a genius. She walks into the kitchen with Hye Gyul’s tray.

In the boys’ room, Doo Gyul wonders what’s going on. Why is the cold wind blowing so strongly? Se Gyul declares that Bok Nyeo-nim has never behaved like that. Han Gyul adds that even when she's been cold, Bok Nyeo's never nagged or said hateful things. The boys declare that right now, Bok Nyeo is just like an evil stepmother (out of a fairy tale). Han Gyul wonders if Bok Nyeo’s doing it to sever their attachment to her.

Sang Chul looks at Detective Tae Shik’s card. He thinks about that apology Tae Shik gave Bok Nyeo outside the police station, when he apologized for hounding her all that time.

Tae Shik is in an arcade, playing video poker. He loses. Loses again. Loses again. He kicks the machine and almost throws a fit. Sang Chul is there, watching him.

Bok Nyeo leaves the Gyuls’ house. She plays her spliced phone message again. This time it’s got Ji Hoon telling her to come there immediately. She meets Ji Hoon. He brings up his proposal and how she hasn’t answered. She says that before she will answer, she needs to do something. He tries to sound casual as he asks why she’s hesitating. He says it’s making him nervous, her playing hard to get. She says that she needs to receive permission from someone first. He thinks she’s talking about Hye Gyul. He jokes that they’re practically mother and daughter! Bok Nyeo stops walking.

Bok Nyeo says that she wants to go to her hometown and show him to her dead father. She wants to see how her old house is. Will that be okay? Ji Hoon smiles, relieved. Also I think encouraged because she wants to present him to her dad. I shake my head. She mentions that he might feel burdened. He says he does… nervous, too. What if her father says he doesn't like him? Even though he’s DEAD. Bok Nyeo declares that Dad will like him, because he will think that her troubles could be over and that will make him happy. She’s as good at speaking with a forked tongue as he is, but hers is always true, unlike him.

Ji Hoon asks if this means that she’s accepting his marriage proposal. She doesn’t respond. He laughs happily. He asks when they should go. Right now? She says this coming Sunday. He’s fine with any time. He says that making greetings to her father, he should have brought it up first. Then he asks her where her hometown is. Like he has no idea.

Later, Ji Hoon is staring, smiling, at a picture of Park Eun Soo (Bok Nyeo). He thanks her for not recognizing him. Bok Nyeo is walking with her bag. She coldly thinks, “Seo Ji Hoon. From there, I'll finish you.” And I laugh at how fierce her voice is. Seo Ji Hoon doesn’t know what’s coming.

Sang Chul asks if this means that Ms. Bok Nyeo has accepted his proposal. Ji Hoon glances over at Song Hwa as he says that it’s all thanks to them and all their help.

At home, Song Hwa calls Bok Nyeo. She mentions how excited Ji Hoon was that Bok Nyeo accepted his proposal. Bok Nyeo replies that Song Hwa should tell him to enjoy it since it will be of short duration. Wow. That was vicious. Go, Bok Nyeo! Song Hwa asks what she’s planning. Is she really planning on marrying Ji Hoon? Bok Nyeo replies that she has to end it before then. Song Hwa wants her to tell Sang Chul. Bok Nyeo replies that there's not much time left. Time to end it all. So, Song Hwa should endure it a little longer. Bok Nyeo hangs up.

Hye Gyul asks if it’s true and when she says it is, Hye Gyul asks what she should do with her Bok Nyeo stone. Bok Nyeo’s face looks pained as Hye Gyul asks her if she wants to keep it. Bok Nyeo takes the stone and drops it in the trash. Wow. That’s harsh. Hye Gyul asks why she threw the stone away and Bok Nyeo says that it's because she can't become part of her family. They wordlessly return to the table, where Hye Gyul starts to eat, but Bok Nyeo stops her for using her chopsticks wrong. If she doesn’t do it properly, she can't eat. Han Gyul protests that Hye Gyul can slowly learn how to use them, but Bok Nyeo replies that if Hye Gyul doesn't fix it now, it's possible she won't be able to fix it ever. Do they want it to look like she grew up without a mother? And Bok Nyeo gets a little nazi about the chopsticks.

Ji Hoon and Tae Shik are meeting in Ji Hoon’s car. Tae Shik gives Ji Hoon the address for Park Eun Soo's hometown. Ji Hoon tells Tae Shik that Bok Nyeo’s taking him to her father's grave site. Tae Shik remarks that in the end, he got that woman's heart. Ji Hoon hands Tae Shik an envelope of money. Ji Hoon tells Tae Shik not to contact him; he’ll be the one to make contact. Tae Shik says that he understands. And I am so expecting Ji Hoon to bump him off right now by stabbing him or running him over or something. Tae Shik wouldn’t expect that to happen.

The kids are playing. Bok Nyeo walks up and tells Hye Gyul that she doesn’t see Hye Gyul’s chopsticks. Hye Gyul says she doesn’t know what happened to them. Bok Nyeo asks her if she hid them. Hye Gyul weakly says that she didn’t. She glances over at the couch. Bok Nyeo goes over and pulls back a pillow where the chopsticks are sitting. The kids are shocked. Bok Nyeo picks them up and declares that chopsticks are something that go in the mouth. You can't just place them anywhere.

Hye Gyul weakly says that she was wrong. Bok Nyeo asks her what she did wrong? Hye Gyul replies that she hid the chopsticks. Bok Nyeo asks her if that’s all she did wrong. Like LIE about what she did? Bok Nyeo asks Hye Gyul where she learned to do that. When it's difficult and she’s having a hard time, is she just going to run away? The kids sigh, feeling bad for the situation. Bok Nyeo makes Hye Gyul take the chopsticks. She puts some game pieces in front of Hye Gyul and tells her that she must pick them up and put them into the stone box. Hye Gyul will not go to bed until she has moved them all. And it’s hard since they’re round pieces. Hye Gyul drops one, so Bok Nyeo makes her start over.

Ji Hoon picks up ‘The Great Gatsby.’ He pulls out that picture of Park Eun Soo. He says that since the real Park Eun Soo is in his hands, he needs to get rid of this dangerous picture.

Hye Gyul runs over to her bed, crying. The kids run after her, trying to comfort her. Han Gyul tries to explain what’s going on to Hye Gyul. She tells Hye Gyul to stop crying and apologize to Bok Nyeo. Auntie arrives with Sang Chul. Bok Nyeo tell Hye Gyul to stop crying. She doesn't have the right to cry. Why is she sitting there when she isn’t finished moving the stones. Hye Gyul moans that she doesn't want to do it. Bok Nyeo asks if Hye Gyul wants people to say that she grew up without a mother? Like Bok Nyeo? Is Hye Gyul thinking of letting her mom being blamed for how she eats?

After a moment. Hye Gyul tells Bok Nyeo that she hates her! She repeats it several times. Hye Gyul runs over to Auntie for comfort, which Auntie does. Bok Nyeo is obviously affected by Hye Gyul crying. She goes outside, making a fist to control her own tears. But it doesn’t work. Sang Chul follows her outside and can tell she's crying. He doesn't say anything.

Eun Soo’s picture burns while Ji Hoon smiles because he’s finally got her.

Bok Nyeo cries and tries to collect herself.

Thoughts

This episode focuses mainly on Bok Nyeo’s relationship with the children and how, despite what it might look like, she really does love them all.

Ji Hoon, the stalker, is completely fooled as far as his relationship with Bok Nyeo is concerned. He's so certain that he decides to burn that Polaroid picture that he's been carrying around of Eun Soo (Bok Nyeo) where she's smiling. How did she get a Polaroid, anyway? I'm really wondering what Bok Nyeo has in store for him and how it's all going to work out that it clears her and reveals him as Seo Ji Hoon. Plus, she needs to expose Tae Shik as the crooked cop that he is.

I'm wondering if Tae Shik got on Ji Hoon's payroll because of internet gambling. And what does Sang Chul know, since he was following Tae Shik?

Are they going to rehab That Woman so that I go back to calling her Song Hwa? What seems to be happening is that Boko Nyeo, even as 'dead' as she is, is having significant impact on those around her. That even when she tries to live as a dead person, she can't help but help others.

Like Song Hwa. Or Mrs. Nosy. I love that Mrs. Nosy is going to stick it to that turkey of a husband of hers. He's not that attractive! I really hope he loses his job, so that he'll realize what he's lost and then Mrs. Nosy leaves him in the dirt because she's found a man that will truly appreciate her. You could argue that she was so nosy and such a busybody because her life was so pointless and marginalized. She allowed him to do it to her, yes. Yay that she's taking her self-respect back. I bet that she's going to end up really successful doing something. At least I'm hoping.

One of the best parts of this episode is when Bok Nyeo sticks it to Scumdad! Part of me is wishing that Scumdad reappears so that Bok Nyeo can turn him into that Jjampong soup like she promised, but he's too cowardly to do that. Which means that Soo Hyuk is free of the turkey for good. Yay! That's really good news! I don't quite understand why Wol Bae is playing the nice guy, but I like the idea of Soo Hyuk getting the girl. As long as he stops being the philandering Oppa. I think, in spite of his protests, that he really does like Han Gyul. He was, after all, paying attention when she talked.

Can't wait to see how Soo Hyuk's going to complement the First Love song. I'm such a sucker for happy endings. Even if he did call himself 'Oppa.'

Boko Nyeo better get her happy ending! I'm not worried about Hye Gyul being upset. As soon as Bok Nyeo apologizes, Hye Gyul will forgive her. The rest of the kids are old enough to understand what Bok Nyeo's doing, although it's a little unfair that she's acting this way.

That part where Hye Gyul was with Ji Hoon was scary, especially after we know how Ji Hoon cozied up to Bok Nyeo's son and then later killed him. So scary. It's interesting that Ji Hoon sees himself as a person when he's with Eun Soo, but without her, he's a monster. It could explain why he's such a stalker, because she's the only thing that beings out him being good and he wants to be good. In his own, twisted way. Glad the series keeps showing up his creepiness so that we aren't charmed by his charisma. And even that shows how Ji Hoon's gotten away with it this long: if *we're* tempted to feel sorry for him, to like him and we know what he's done, how much more easily charmed are people who *don't* know that.

I like that Sang Chul has become more and more of a man rather than a coward and it looks like he's proactively working to protect his family (which includes Bok Nyeo, even if he hasn't realized romantic feelings yet). I wonder how much he's going to be following Tae Shik...

Love that Doo Gyul's discovered something that he's good at and that Bok Nyeo paid enough attention to realize that it's his skill.

I'm actually a little scared at what Bok Nyeo has planned. Not that Ji Hoon doesn't deserve it. Next episode is D-day, where she leaves the kids. And I still sometimes wonder why Ji Hoon latched onto 'The Great Gatsby' for his inspiration. After all, it doesn't end well. The object of Gatsby's affection (Daisy) doesn't end up with Gatsby and Gatsby ends up dead, murdered for something that Daisy did but he was taking the wrap for. How is that romantic? Why would anyone relate to that? I am, of course, talking about the twisted mind of a stalker, but still.

They hinted at Ji Hoon's illness being somehow related to the fire that killed Bok Nyeo's family. I hope they develop that. And I hope that we get our happy ending for everyone who deserves one.
