As Min Woo can’t move, Seok Hoon runs up. He stares in horror at Min Woo before diving into the pool after Eun Ha. Mi Yeon is strangely dispassionate about Eun Ha’s death. Could she be the one who drugged her? Once he’s pulled Eun Ha out of the pool, Seok Hoon gives her CPR, even as he begs her not to die. A bit more emotional that someone who doesn’t want to lose the political connections that an alliance might bring. Maybe that’s why Mi Yeon is so dispassionate over Eun Ha’s ‘accident.’ In fact, she looks downright angry at how he’s desperately trying to save Eun Ha.
Switch to Eun Ha hooked up to hospital machines and a doctor is telling Seok Hoon and his minion that Eun Ha is in a vegetative state and won’t be getting better. Seok Hoon sounds desperate as he asks if there’s anything that can be done, but Doctor isn’t going for it. Seok Hoon, his voice full of menace, says that Eun Ha’s situation doesn’t leave the room that they’re in. Doctor understands.
Eun Ha’s doppelganger, Ji Sook, is currently texting Min Woo to try to meet with him so she can get her money back. But Min Woo hasn’t seen any of the texts because he’s busy freaking out over what’s happened to Eun Ha. Even though he’s trying to act calm, the ticking of the clock nearby is getting to him. Mi Yeon enters the room and tells him that Eun Ha’s going to be released soon and that Seok Hoon’s going to take care of everything. Right after she asks if he really doesn’t remember anything, he gets another text. Snapping, he grabs his phone and almost smashes it, but controls himself. After all, he doesn’t want to look like he’s crazy. Because he’s not crazy. Min Woo turns to her and says that she's right. He did it. Seo Eun Ha is like that because of him. Is that what Mi Yeon wants to hear?
Seok Hoon looks at Eun Ha’s comatose state and remembers them having lunch together earlier that day – since she’s wearing the same clothes that she was when she was at the mall and ran into Ji Sook. Eun Ha tells him about meeting her doppelganger at the mall. He smiles and says that people say that if you meet a Doppelganger, the first person that sees the other dies first. He asks who saw whom first? Eun Ha doesn’t answer, but knows that it was her that saw Ji Sook first. She relishes in the idea of the scandal that it would cause if Ji Sook *was* her twin; the look on her father’s face, the ruined engagement to Min Woo.
Seok Hoon reminds Eun Ha that this marriage is important. She asks “To whom?” He doesn’t answer. But his face says that it’s him. Why *is* it so important to him? Especially since he seems to care about Eun Ha, or at least about the plan he’s concocted that uses her as a pawn. Eun Ha loudly puts down her utensils and declares that she suddenly doesn't want to. After meeting Min Woo, she’s apathetic, to say the least. She wonders if she should ask Ji Sook to do it instead. Be careful what you muse about… Ji Sook would probably do for the right amount of money.
Not looking pleased, Seok Hoon asks why Eun Ha’s suddenly being like this. She says that it suddenly occurred to her that marrying into that household would mean that she sees him every day. It’ll make her go crazy. She asks if she *should* go crazy. Would living like that still be better? Back in the present, Seok Hoon tells Minion to find Ji Sook. No matter what.
Minion heads to the mall with a bunch of men to find Ji Sook. Ji Sook is upstairs, stewing over Min Woo not calling her back. After all, she needs to find out what happened and where her money is. Her friend, Myung Hwa, wants her to report Min Woo to the police: he took a drunk woman back to a hotel and took her money. Ji Sook doesn’t want to, because it’s not like that. Plus, he’s an executive there, so what if she gets fired?
Min Woo is now with Doc Kim (his psychiatrist). Jung Sun (Stepmom) enters and says that they have the CCTV footage. She suggests Min Woo *not* watch it – and I can’t figure this woman out. She seems like she cares about Min Woo, but then she also takes pot shots at him about his mother. Doc thinks that would be best, but Min Woo wants to see it. That way he can see if he needs to do something or not.
As they’re walking down the stairs – which look a lot like the stairs from Kim Tan’s house in ‘The Heirs’ – Min Woo suddenly gets dizzy. Drugged? PTSD? Stepmom wants him to watch it later, but he ignores her. And that looks like genuine concern and pity on her face. I hope it is. I like this actress, but she always seems to play nasty people. It would be nice to see her as someone nice for once.
Oh, look, the whole family has gathered for a fun afternoon of family movies. Stepmom says that the family has to know what happened so that they can help him. You know what might go a long way towards helping him? A father who didn’t constantly threaten and disapprove and instead one that was encouraging. That would probably help. Min Woo sarcastically asks if that’s really it. Dad chimes in with his correction voice on. Dad tells Min Woo that if he has issues, he should just hide until they rot away. See? Harsh Dad. Not helping. A twitch of Min Woo’s eyelid says that that hurt. Dad tells him that if he’s going to watch with them, he should take a seat. Otherwise, get out. Nice. Loving Dad already. That shuts Min Woo up and he sits.
Chul – maybe Dad’s secretary? – reminds Dad that Eun Ha’s father is returning soon from Shanghai. Dad is not happy that Eun Ha had the accident – but not for her sake, but for his. Dad yells at Chul to roll the footage. The only one who is not there is Seok Hoon. Do they not find that strange? Or is it because they know he's taking care of things at the hospital with Eun Ha. As they watch the footage, Min Woo fidgets and nervously chews on his thumb. You can actually hear it when he bites off part of the nail. Doc is watching him more than the CCTV footage. Everyone is intently watching, except for Mi Yeon, who looks over at Min Woo. She looks like she’s there for the appearance of caring. Hmm…
The CCTV footage cuts out – where the last episode did and we see no more than what we saw last time. When it comes back on, Min Woo is on the ground and Seok Hoon is giving Eun Ha CPR. So we're still in the dark just like everyone else. Chul says that it looks like it’s been deleted. Min Woo demands to know who could have done this and as ‘luck’ would have it, only one person entered the security office: him. As everyone looks at him, he says that he only went in to check the CCTV. There was no one there, so he couldn't even verify. This does not put anyone at ease.
Min Woo’s phone starts ringing. Stepmom points it out and Min Woo reluctantly answers it. It’s Ji Sook. She asks if he remembers what happened at the hotel and he hangs up on her. Gritting his teeth, he declares that he will definitely find out who erased the CCTV and ask them what they want. He leaves the room and Stepmom can’t hide a small smirk. So she’s not nice. She’s just playing the role for everyone, which is why he snapped at her.
Ji Sook isn’t happy to be hung up on and Myung Hwa, after hearing that, calls Min Woo a jerk and says that with that kind of man, Ji Sook should threaten him with evidence. Even though they have no evidence. She will just pretend that she has some. Thieves are bound to get caught.
Seok Hoon gets a call from Minion. She is an employee of their mall. As the pair marches through the mall – and Seok Hoon reminds me of the evil principal at in the movie, ‘Matilda,’ – Minion tells him that Assemblyman Seo is leaving on a flight tonight. Eun Ha will be transferred to another hospital, so they don't have a lot of time. After checking his huge watch, Seok Hoon says they do have enough time. What they lack is confirmation as to whether this can work. Wow, that would impress me if I didn’t think he was evil.
Min Woo gets back to his huge room. It looks like I’ve seen this place somewhere before, too. It’s really nicely furnished with a black and white theme going on. I wonder if that’s symbolic. He sits with a sigh. Text message.
Ji Sook doesn’t want to believe what Myung Hwa is telling her. She protests that it's really not like that. Myung Hwa tells her to stop the habit of being optimistic. It’s the CEO's son. Would that kind of man pick up a random girl sleeping on the sidewalk and just nicely take her to a hotel? He would if he thought she was his fiancée, since they look alike. And, her money just coincidentally disappeared? Does that even make sense?! Does it make sense that someone *that* rich would steal the money?
Min Woo – called ‘Dine and Dash’ on Ji Sook’s phone – calls. Myung Hwa encourages her to act tough and come out strong! She makes the ‘I’m watching you’ motion with her fingers. Ji Sook tries to act tough but Min Woo asks who she is and demands that she say! Nice little yell. I love Joo Ji Hoon. Ji Sook can’t believe he’s the one who’s acting mad. She tries to sound tough but it’s pretty pathetic and Myung Hwa shakes her head. Ji Sook says that they should meet. They’ll talk after they meet.
Min Woo asks what she wants. Money? Does he think she’s trying to blackmail him? Again, I love Joo Ji Hoon’s expressions right now. Myung Hwa mouths something like ‘stick it to him’ at Ji Sook. Ji Sook replies that if Min Woo just gives her the money, she’ll move on. Min Woo chuckles, disgusted. It does kind of sound like she’s trying to blackmail him. His voice thick with wrath, Min Woo says that they should meet; they can talk quietly. She tells him 4 o’clock and warns him that he better not dare not to come.
As Ji Sook leaves for the meeting, she walks by Seok Hoon, who has just arrived. He can’t believe how much she looks like Eun Ha – in fact, for a moment, he sees Eun Ha instead. It makes him get weak in the knees. So, not just using Eun Ha. Ji Sook sees and helps him steady himself. She asks if he’s okay and all he can do is nod – after checking out her name tag. She leaves. After clenching his jaw, he tells Minion to follow her. See who she meets and where she goes.
Min Woo has grabbed a bottle of water on his way to the car. As he gets in he says that he thinks it’s the paparazzi – which in Korean is ‘paparachey.’ She's definitely doing this on someone's orders. He’s got slightly crazy eyes going. Why of all times would they ask to meet now? He gasps – dramatically – and says that they could be related to the CCTV. That's right. There's no doubt. And he doesn’t sound nuts at all. He mutters that they have to get them on their side, no matter how much it costs. Again with the psycho eyes. I have been rolling.
Chang Soo has been watching Min Woo through the rearview mirror. Min Woo’s eyes meet his and Chang Soo jumps. Min Woo – with a chip on his shoulder – asks if Chang Soo thinks he’s crazy, too? Chang Soo sputters that he was thinking the same thing. Not about Min Woo being crazy, but that he's thinking the same thing. Then there’s a shot of Min Woo’s water bottle as something finishes dissolving in it. And that explains so much. Why he’s acting unhinged: he’s being drugged. I bet it’s Seok Hoon or Stepmom. But probably Seok Hoon.
The loan shark stops by Ji Sook’s house and has his goons trash it. Ji Hyuk almost attacks Loan Shark, but Loan Shark's huge goon shoves him to the ground. And I would be pissed at my husband for getting me in this position. One of Seok Hoon’s men takes pictures of it – at least he had sense enough to not use a flash with a zoom lens – and sends them to Seok Hoon, who also checks out Ji Sook’s application and resume.
Ji Sook waits for Min Woo at the mall. Myung Hwa calls to encourage her to have fierce eyes. Practice now! Minion – being the good minion that he is – has been watching her and he spots Min Woo and Chang Soo exiting the elevator. Quickly he calls Seok Hoon, who puts two and two together, since he overheard Ji Sook’s conversation and has her money. He yells at Minion to block them from meeting no matter what! Then he runs to do damage control. What is he planning? Well, I know what he’s planning, since I read the synopsis, but if I didn’t, that’s what I would be wondering.
Minion approaches Ji Sook and knows her name. He confirms that she’s there to meet Choi Min Woo and motions for her to follow him, like he’s going to take her to him. And that’s an nasty scar there on your neck. Did you, perhaps, get sprayed with acid while trying to kill someone?
Seok Hoon is running, frantic with trying to stop Min Woo and Ji Sook from meeting. Ji Sook walks away with Minion just as Min Woo arrives. Min Woo is frustrated, but spots the 2 cups of coffee sitting on the bench, so he knows that she was just there. He looks around for Ji Sook. Wow, this is a huge mall. Like 4 stories tall.
Ji Sook and Minion arrive at a car and Minion tells her to please get in. Choi Min Woo is waiting. She asks where they’re going. His answer isn’t creepy or sinister at all. Minion answers that it’s somewhere quiet. She gets a call from Min Woo, who demands to know where she is. It's already five minutes after. She realizes that smiling, creepy man is *not* from Min Woo. She tells Min Woo that he’s called the wrong person and hangs up on him, which -- of course -- annoys him. She tells Minion that they should go and starts to climb into the car. Minion walks around and gets into the driver’s seat, but Ji Sook takes off running instead. Although why she didn’t just run instead of first slamming the door to alert Minion, I don’t know. He gets out and chases after her.
Min Woo angrily wonders what he’s supposed to think of this scenario? Chang Soo suggest that she might just be toying with him. When Min Woo asks what he means, Chang Soo says, “You know, when you look at rich people sometimes, you just dislike them.” Min Woo asks if Chang Soo is one of those people who has this hate towards him? Chang Soo swallows and says ‘no.’ Min Woo wants to know why Chang Soo hesitated. And I gut laugh.
Ji Sook runs inside the mall and luckily comes across two security guards. Minion has to pull back.
The more they wait, the more agitated that Min Woo gets. He calls Ji Sook again and asks what she’s doing right now. Sounding like she’s running hard – Ji Sook tells him not to move! She’ll be there in a minute! And hangs up on him. As she approaches where Min Woo is waiting, Seok Hoon hurries down the escalator to stop them from meeting.
A woman walks by who reminds Min Woo of his mother – complete with ruby and diamond encrusted pendant. About to cry, Min Woo takes off after the woman. Ji Sook hears Chang Soo yell after him and goes to follow. Min Woo loses the woman in the parking garage, but gets the keys from Chang Soo and takes off in the car after her. Ji Sook sees him drive by and runs some more. Seok Hoon gets into his own car.
Min Woo drives – looking like a madman – after him Oma. He chugs some more water. Ji Sook is following him in a taxi – even though she doesn’t have enough money to pay for it. Lots of dramatic driving. Seok Hoon is forced to stop because of a red light. Crazy dangerous driving from Min Woo. I mean, the accident would have involved a lorry (box truck) and a semi. More water drinking. The license plate changes from 34 Neo 3377 (34너 3377) to 48 Lo 8899 (48로 8899). Min Woo shakes his head and rubs his eyes. It’s a different license plate.
Memory of Doc telling him about involuntary memory. Memories can come without voluntary recall. The problem is that old memories can get distorted. What he means is: the truth Min Woo believed could not be real. Pictures of Min Woo with his mom. This looks like a murder board, like they use to figure out who murderers are. One next to an article: with the headline유명 바이올리니스트자살, which roughly translates as Famous Violinist Suicide. Aw, his Oma was well known. And they called what didn’t look like an accident in the flashback, a suicide. Not good. Another headline talks about Oma’s car being found by the lake where she tragically died. And there’s a picture of young, smiling Min Woo with Oma next to the car with a license plate Jeoul 4 Ga 3377 (저울 4 가 3377). Which jeoul roughly translates to scales, or balance, and ga translates as the. I’m thinking there’s going to be a deeper meaning there.
Min Woo decides to speed up so he can see the driver. As he drives by, it’s not even a woman in the car, but a guy with a ball cap. Min Woo reels and suddenly stops his car in the middle of the street. The car behind him isn’t paying attention and rear-ends him. Luckily he was wearing his seatbelt. His airbag does not deploy. His spinning car almost gets hit by the semi and he ends up crashing into a fire hydrant. As he’s barely conscious, he wonders who’s doing this, as we see one of the staff at the house drugging his water. As he loses consciousness, he sees Ji Sook’s face. Which doesn’t help things.
Memory of running with Oma and being chased by a herd of men – men who look like the ones from Min Woo’s previous flashback. Oma is wearing the pendant. It falls off and Min Woo stops to get it. When he starts to run again, he trips and falls and ends up in the lake. Oma runs after him and pushes him toward the surface so that he won’t drown. In doing so, she sacrifices herself. Wow, that made me tear up a bit.
Sitting next to Min Woo in the hospital, Ji Sook wonders what kind of dream he’s having, since he’s twitching and thrashing slightly. He grabs her hand tightly, even though he’s still asleep. She asks if he’s pretending to be asleep but he doesn’t react when she waves her hand in front of his face. She asks about her money, even though she knows it’s not the right time to ask since he was just in an accident. She tells him that if he feels awkward, she can just step out and he can just put it on the table. She won't talk about yesterday. He releases her hand – but I think it’s because the dream’s over. She tells him that she’s leaving for coffee and he better not try to take off. She pauses and tucks him in. As she looks at him, she says that he looks like a nice person.
Out at the coffee machine, she gets wrist grabbed by Seok Hoon. Before she can protest, he holds up her money roll and says that he has what she wants. He can make her dreams come true. They should make a deal, Byeon Ji Sook. I would be freaking out that someone I’ve never met before knows my name. She pulls at her wrist to free it, but Seok Hoon’s got it tight. He tells her that she’ll get a lot of money. Money she can't even imagine. She asks who he is and he replies – a little psycho eyes going himself – that who is not important, but how. She tells him that she’s going to scream. He tells her to go ahead, but if she was going to do it, she would have done it earlier. He releases her wrist and says that with one deal, the rest of her life can change. What would she do, Byeon Ji Sook?
Ji Sook is considering it. Seok Hoon tells her that the son of SJ’s CEO is getting married soon. And since she knows that the CEO’s son is Min Woo, she knows that that’s who Seok Hoon is talking about. She’s looking at pictures of Eun Ha and Min Woo. A lot of money is at hand. There's no reason to reject it, right? She looks at him and asks what happens to Eun Ha, if she’s being Eun Ha. Seok Hoon says that Seo Eun Ha will die soon. He actually looks like that bothers him. Ji Sook can’t believe that he wants to murder someone. He clarifies that it’s not like that. There was an accident. Ji Sook gasps at the thought.
Seok Hoon tells her that she can take time to think if she wants, but she shouldn't agonize over it too much. Just follow the very first thought she had after she heard his proposal. A pause and then Ji Sook shakes her head. She stands and holds out the pictures to Seok Hoon, saying that she doesn’t need time to think. She won't do it. No, she can't do it. Besides, this lady has a family too. How would she fool them? And if she’s caught, won't she go to prison? Seok Hoon says that she won’t necessarily be caught. Ji Sook isn’t persuaded and demands her money. Seok Hoon holds up the money and says that it’s not hers but the Loan Shark’s money. He mentions how children carry on their parent's lives and burdens. Does she want to live like her parents the rest of her life? She grabs the roll of cash and tells him that she’s not going to do it, so don't follow her from now on. She’ll pretend they didn't have this talk.
As she walks away, Seok Hoon tells her that there's a saying that goes like this: “Even if a frog sits on a gold throne, it will run back into the woods.” She stops and looks at him. Seok Hoon says that here’s her chance at a throne. Does she really want to go back to the woods? Like a frog? Ji Sook defiantly nods and says that a frog is happier when in the woods than on a golden throne. He asks how she’s going to pay the debt, since her family’s store has been destroyed. Seok Hoon walks toward her and tells her that there’s a reason why frogs go back into the woods. Because they're dumb. Intense glare at her. And I can see why he was excellent in ‘Vampire Prosecutor.’ That’s one intense, scary gaze.
As Ji Sook walks away, she tells herself that she did well. She did the right thing. But Seok Hoon’s not giving up. He calls her and tells her that he’ll give her until midnight to think about it. She looks up and sees him and as he starts to talk some more, she pointedly hangs up on him. Heh. She saves his contact under ‘Crazy Bastard’ and leaves the hospital. Minion asks what Seok Hoon wants him to do and dramatically, Seok Hoon declares that Byeon Ji Sook must die. Without a doubt.
Min Woo wakes up, in pain, in the hospital. He sees a note by his bedside. It reads:
You were surprised getting my phone call, right? I didn't know the person you went to the hotel with was your fiancée. I'm very sorry. I'm reflecting on it a lot. I won't bother you any more. Please be healthy.
I don’t remember Ji Sook writing that note. Min Woo shakes his head.
He goes back to SJ and Seok Hoon acts concerned about his minor accident. Seok Hoon smiles and tells him not to worry; he won’t let the Chairman find out. Min Woo nods. Seok Hoon tells him not to worry. They’re all on his side. And his smile is so friendly while his heart is so sinister. Min Woo notes that and apologizes, saying that he’s the only one who doesn't know. Seok Hoon tells him that he can start now. Min Woo doesn’t look at all convinced. Especially since he suspects that someone’s drugging him. From his household.
As Ji Sook walks home, she starts to think about Seok Hoon’s offer and how nice it might be to have everyone at the mall – including her obnoxious boss – bow to her. ‘The Blue Danube’ begins to play again. As she arrives home, she sees her family still cleaning up their trashed house. Mom is crying and wants to report them to the police. Papa knows it won’t do any good. Ji Hyuk wants to go beat them. He won’t sit still for this! But Papa stops him. That offer is getting more attractive.
At Min Woo’s, Yun Soo and Chul have finished stocking the fridge. She’s *pleased* at the sight, but Chul’s not encouraged, since it’ll all disappear tomorrow. Wow, he’s not a gloomy Gus at all. They pose for a Selca. Or five. Min Woo arrives. He starts to rifle through the fridge, spilling some of it on the floor. He grabs a water bottle and yells at the pair, asking why the seal on the cap is broken. Stepmom enters, saying that she drank some and put it back. Yuck. In the *back* of the fridge. I wonder if she’s the one drugging him. She notes that Chul and Yun Soo were organizing the fridge and asks for some water, since she’s constantly thirsty. That’s a sign that you could be diabetic. Or secretly drugging your stepson and are making up a story to throw off his suspicion.
As they quickly get some water for her, she grabs the bottle that Min Woo is holding and drinks from it. She tells Min Woo that he doesn’t have to worry. The person who erased the CCTV footage will be caught someday. He agrees. They’ll figure out what happened with Seo Eun Ha and why someone erased the CCTV footage. It's just a matter of time. Dad has entered and has his hands on his hips. He says that they should make that time come quicker. Barking another order. Before the Assemblyman comes!
Eun Ha’s parents are in the air, flying in first class. She’s worried but he’s not. Pilot announces that they will be arriving at Inchon International Airport in thirty minutes, around midnight. He checks his gold watch encrusted with diamonds. It’s 11:30. Just to make sure that we know that they’re rich.
Ji Sook arrives at Loan Shark’s. He’s surprised that she’s there and tosses the bat he’s carrying aside. He asks what she’s doing there. He’s condescending as he unrolls the money. Loan Shark says that the wad of cash isn’t enough. She missed the date. She needs to pay the late fee and the penalty fee. And she needs to include the cost of damages *her brother* caused when he got angry and destroyed the store.
What proceeds is Loan Shark being a jerk. A man he’s been beating attacks Loan Shark when his back is turned. Loan Shark’s goons come in and stop Man. They beat Man and then Loan Shark punches him again and again. Ji Sook is understandably frightened. Goons tell Loan Shark that the guy is dead. So Ji Sook’s just watched him kill someone. Ji Sook gasps, which reminds them that she’s there. They menacingly walk toward her. She says she didn’t see anything. She runs and tries to call 119, but they stop her.
Min Woo – even though he’s just been in an accident where he smacked his head against a steering wheel – is preparing to let Doc hypnotize him, which includes injecting him with something to get him to relax. What school did Doc go to? Because head injury and relaxing drug treads into coma or death territory. Doc says that Min Woo won’t get hypnotized unless he wants to. If he resists, he’ll never fall under it, which means that if Min Woo wants to hide that incident, the truth won't come out even if Doc hypnotizes him. Min Woo says that he wouldn't have come if he wanted to hide it. He’s there to make sure that it wasn't because of him.
Doc uses the sound of hanging metal balls swinging and hitting each other to get Min Woo to relax. As Doc talks, the sound of water, splashing. Min Woo remembers that Eun Ha was wearing flesh-colored stockings – because he couldn’t see the cut on her knee. Doc asks what they talked about. Eun Ha says that she heard his mother is also a kept woman. Ouch. Min Woo doesn’t like that, either. Will she come to the wedding? Eun Ha adds that her mom won't come. Her mom threw her away and left long time ago. Wasn’t her mom just on a plane, worried about her? But that sucks that Eun Ha feels that way about her parents.
Eun Ha says that she heard the phrase, “I left because of love.” But if you love, why leave? You should protect until the end. Min Woo walks toward her, knocking a knife off the table. He tells her that they should go, if she’s done talking. She says that she still hasn't finished drinking her wine. In response, Min Woo chugs it. Eun Ha says that she’s looking forward to married life and will see him at the wedding.
For some reason, Min Woo chases her and shoves her. She tries to hit him with her purse but he grabs it out of her hand and starts choking her with the straps. Crazy eyes in full effect. And if this version is true, which I highly doubt because of the drugs coursing through his system right now, how did he end up on the ground, unconscious?
Min Woo is squirming. Doc asks what he sees and then pulls him out of the trance. Min Woo shakes his head and says that this can't be happening. He’s really freaked out. And I would be if I just thought I murdered someone. For some reason which I have no idea what the motive is… Panting, he says that he’s going to personally ask Seo Eun Ha. That way, the truth will come to light.
Ji Sook is in handcuffs in a speeding car with Loan Shark and his goons. Seok Hoon is following them. Loan Shark is freaked. He mutters that it was self-defense! That punk hit me first! Ji Sook immediately agrees and says that she’ll testify to that. Goon1 notes the car following them. Ji Sook mentions that if they get caught now, it will look even more suspicious for her to be handcuffed.
Loan Shark starts to take off the handcuffs when Goon1 wonders if the police is following them because of they hit and killed that ajumma last year. Glares from Goon2 and Loan Shark. Ji Sook says that she didn't hear anything. Seriously. She’s still partially handcuffed. They pull over and Ji Sook is able to see that it’s Seok Hoon in the car. And the dead guy starts moving and muttering for someone to save him. Loan Shark and Goons decide to get rid of the guy for good. They climb out of the car and Ji Sook takes that opportunity to hop in the front seat and drive away with the car.
Once she can’t see them anymore, she stops to help the ajusshi. Which is stupid. She should have gone a lot farther. Ajusshi jumps up and shoves her aside to get away. This causes her to momentarily stuck in a bush. She’s able to get unstuck and drive away, but not before Goon2 is able to dive into the car through the window. He’s the one who handcuffed her to the steering wheel. During the struggle, she snaps her seatbelt on.
And everything happens that we saw in the first episode. Ji Sook hanging from the cliff. This time she falls and hits the water. The airbag saves her from injury. Quickly, Ji Sook starts rifling through the bag with the money to find the handcuffs key. She’s able find it and get out of the car and starts to swim toward the surface. But she starts to lose consciousness.
Her voiceover wonders if this is how it’s going to end. Flashback of her with her family. It’s a happy time. This is enough the get her to open her eyes as she sees someone swimming towards her.
Min Woo enters Eun Ha’s hospital room. With a really nice big flat screen. He looks at Eun Ha – who is now not wearing the air tube in her nose – and Eun Ha opens her eyes. Episode ends.

Thoughts
Wow, so we know who Crazy Bastard is: Seok Hoon. What is his plan, since he’s so desperate for no one to know that Eun Ha is a vegetable. It does seem like there’s some genuine affection there, but Seok Hoon strikes me as someone who’s so cold – I mean, the way he lies is like it’s his native language – that he wouldn’t really love anyone. One thing that I appreciate is that they’ve really portrayed both Ji Sook and Min Woo in a sympathetic light, to where you *like* them. Ji Sook isn’t just some Candy. She wasn’t going to do it, even though it was tempting, because it’s wrong. She only reconsidered when her life was at stake. And Min Woo isn’t just some traumatized chaebol. He’s actively being drugged so that he’s going crazy. When both of them cried, it affected me.
I have a feeling that by the end of this show, I’m going to be replacing some actors on my favorites list. This is the first thing that I’ve seen Soo Ae in and I *really* like her.
I really do wonder what Seok Hoon’s plan is. How does Mi Yeon figure into it? And how are they going to pull this off? And who really tried to kill Eun Ha, because I definitely don’t think it was Min Woo. Even though under hypnosis, he saw himself do it. His addled mind could have watched someone else do it and then imagined that it was him instead. His reaction after watching it was too freaked out to be someone who *could* kill someone. It’s more someone who couldn’t kill someone freaking because somehow they did.
Ah, to be a concierge doctor. Doc Kim has it good. He seems to be on Min Woo’s side. Hopefully he is and not a stooge of someone.
I also wonder what really happened to Oma. Why was she running with Min Woo? Who was chasing her? Why did they cover it up and make it look like a suicide? That little tiny bit made it look like Min Woo is trying to figure this out, too, what with his murder board. And it is really sad, because he and his Oma looked genuinely happy together.
And if he was living with Oma, does that mean he wasn’t living with Dad? Oma was Dad’s mistress? A kept woman? And since Noona is older than him, it has to be that, since she’s his half sister and Dad is still married to Stepmom. And how did Min Woo end up being acknowledged and raised by Dad, if Oma was a kept woman? It really seems that for all her ‘niceness,’ Stepmom doesn’t like Min Woo and is out to get him. I wonder if she’s the one drugging him. But my money’s on Seok Hoon.
I also wonder what happened in Min Woo’s past that made them so leery about this recent incident. It just seems like an unusual reaction.
